GLS Design & SubOptic

Challenge

GLS, one of the most trusted and recognised brand environment design practices in the world, asked Voyage to design and build a website for SubOptic, the organisation representing the submarine telecommunications industry, for their 2016 conference. The site would be an important sales tool to help sell conference sponsorship and exhibition opportunities. Conference attendees would use the site to plan their visit, pay their registration fees, book their hotel accommodation, and stay up to date with the latest event news.

Result

Stage 1 focussed on providing information about sponsorship and exhibition opportunities was designed, built, tested and launched in six weeks. 

Stage 2 included an online shop for placing orders of sponsorship opportunities and a shop for purchasing exhibition space and optional AV equipment and furnishings launched four weeks later. 

Stage 3 launched three months prior to the conference start and opened up online booking and payment for delegate registration and hotel accommodation. It also included useful resources to help attendees plan their visit.

The  user-friendly design helped attendees stay informed, plan their visit and make payments. Because we handled the creation of all content leading up to and during the conference GLS could stay focussed on designing, building and managing a successful event for SubOptic.
