Slough Borough Council approached Voyage with a brief to visually update the Slough Means Business website and make it responsive for mobile devices.
Before any design was undertaken we looked at the analytics to assess how the existing site was being used in order to inform our design. Audiences were primarily visiting to read the Slough business stories, news, and information on what to do in Slough. A lot of the interest was generated from audiences in London suggesting a renewed interest in Slough. This led us to two points of focus for the re-fresh:
Optimised Homepage with a clear focus on case studies and news.
Success Stories updates on existing businesses.
A responsive site that adapts to mobile, tablet or desktop with a cleaner, more open and friendly design using brighter photography and bringing personalities to the fore. Using our strategic insight that ‘like attracts like’ we focused on interviews with existing stakeholders to tell unique, individual, relevant stories about ‘why Slough?’ was right for their business.
