Working with Keene Communications, Voyage has designed and built a Christmas mini-site for Northern Territory Tourism.
Keene Communications approached Voyage at last minute to create an online game for their client, Northern Territory Tourism. Could we design and develop a promotional game within a few days and make available for the week leading upto Christmas?
The idea was to design and build an incentive based viral campaign in the form of a digital Christmas parcel which users could share via their social networks. Voyage created a landing page incorporating Northern Territory Tourism's brand, imagery alluding to the gifts which could be won and of course a Christmas feel which would reasonate with UK audiences. The mini-site encouraged users to register their details every day to win prizes and then share the page through their social networks. Keene Communications with Northern Territory Tourism at the end of every day of the week long promotion would select a random winner from the day's entries. We built a custom back end which allowed Keene to see all the entries logged live as well integrated Google Analytics for more detailed statistics. The mini-site was designed responsively, facilitating access to the multitude of devices being used today. The site would appear correctly formated and easy to use no matter if it was a smartphone, tablet or desktop device being used.
The campaign results were well over 200 entries in the four days the competition ran for. There was an initial large spike in interest which tapered off as the week progressed. Feedback from NT Tourism was very positive and the same competition will be held again in 2014 but will be run for a longer period and more PR to be utilised to inform and continually activate further interest from a larger target maket.
I cannot thank Andrew and his team enough for all their hard work surrounding the online Christmas competition they built for our client Tourism NT. After we were let down by another supplier they quickly stepped in to rescue us! We’re so glad they did because in-doing so they built us a first class online campaign, which was cross device compatible and generated us a brilliant return on investment. Not only did they work to extraordinarily tight deadlines but they updated us every step of the way. We’re now looking to work with Voyage Design on a regular basis.
